ARTIST STATEMENT

I am a multimedia artist who explores the psychological impact of astronomical engagement whilst trying to make new experiences for the viewer. This enables the viewer to enter a realm that is not known to human knowledge or understanding. I take influence from philosophy and ethics to create engaging and vibrant artworks. 
My artwork also investigates colour psychology, colour theory and mark making in conjunction with exploring a deeper sense of self. I am interested in portraying the different parts of ‘other’ worlds that we do not see and do not have empirical evidence for. 
I intertwine these ideas through painting, digital collage and video work, creating surreal experiences. 
More recently, I have been working on a series of paintings based on my digital collages. The paintings communicate a realm of the unexperienced. I am interested in portraying the forces and energy of this space, the tensions and flow of it and a supernatural sense of being connected to this new environment.
