ARTIST STATEMENT

I am a multimedia artist who uses environmental and psychological experiences of emotion to create vibrant and colourful artworks. I aim to make new escapist experiences for the viewer. My paintings express a “buzzing for life” and a thirst of imagination. 
My artwork also investigates colour psychology, colour theory and mark making in conjunction with exploring a deeper sense of self. I intertwine these ideas through painting, digital collage and video work, creating surreal experiences. 
More recently, I have been working on a series of paintings based on my digital collages. The paintings communicate a sense of escapism and expression of spiritual awareness. I am interested in creatively energising my artworks whilst creating a deep connection of mindfulness and peace throughout.
